Day 2 – Arrival → Antananarivo
‘’Manao ahoana’’ & ‘’Salama’’ Welcome to tropical paradise. You will be welcomed & greeted by your guide or representative on arrival at Antananarivo Ivato International Airport. You will be transferred to your hotel in Antananarivo. The travel time will be approximately 10 minutes depending on the road traffic.

Day 3 – Fly to Fort Dauphin
Today you will fly from Antananarivo to Fort Dauphin. Fort Dauphin, the city at the end of the world, offers exceptional scenery. Nestled at the foot of the Saint Louis’ peak, the city and its regions offer incredible walks in breathtaking scenery.

Day 4, 5 & 6 – Mandrare River

Day 7 – Fort Dauphin & Evatra Tour
After breakfast you will depart from the hotel on the Evatra tour to the stunning Lokaro Bay in Fort Dauphin.
You will travel to Lake Lanirano where you will board a small boat. As you cross Lake Lanirano to Evatra you will pass through a lagoon and river mangroves with aquatic vegetation such as elephants’ ears and palm trees where you may spot endemic birdlife. This exciting boat journey will take approximately an hour and a half.
When you reach Evatra, the traditional fisherman village, you may have the chance to meet the Antanosy people. Here you will begin a 3-4 hour hike depending on your level of fitness. During your hike, you will pass beautiful creeks, visit the local village and experience the enchanting Lokaro Bay. Here beach lovers can enjoy a refreshing swim and visit the deserted coves known for snorkelling and diving. You will then continue to get a great view of the second village of Evatra called Fisherman’s Bay. En route to Mahanoro, enjoy a stunning 180° panoramic view where you may spot some whales during July to August. For lunch, you will stop at the bay of Mahanoro where you can enjoy a cooked picnic seafood lunch with a view of the tropical turquoise water. This region is famous for its seafood. In the afternoon, depending on the weather, you may get to swim so don’t forget your swimwear.
At approximately 16:00pm, you will begin your return to Fort Dauphin by hiking and taking the boat via the same route across Lake Lanirano. After your boat trip you will transfer by car to your hotel.

Day 9 – Fly to Anjajavy
Today you will be transferred to Antananarivo airport for your flight to Anjajavy.
Anjajavy le lodge is located on the west coast of Madagascar 120 kilometres north of Majunga. Anjajavy is a remote fishing village on an extraordinary peninsula at the heart of the Boeny Sakalava territory. The lodge along this welcoming peninsula is set on a private stretch of 550 hectares surrounded by water and is a shining example of sustainable conservation.

Day 10, 11 & 12 – Anjajavy
Relax at Anjajavy. Anjajavy le lodge has plenty to offer on land and in the sea.
Within the 750-hectare private natural reserve, there are a wide variety of wonderful walks that you can do on your own with a clear map, or with one of the hotel’s guides. Discover the majestic baobabs and unusual tsingy. There is a wonderful beach perfect for a swim, as well as a 200 metre infinity pool. The Marina, on the Mozambique Channel, protected from the wind, is also a good spot. A wide variety of water based activities are available from the beach in front of the hotel and from the marina.

Day 13 – Fly to Antananarivo
Today you will fly to Antananarivo.
In the evening, witness the best sunset with Sundowner drinks and dinner at Lokanga. It is the best place to say “cheers” to a great trip around Madagascar with a glass of wine, a beautiful view of Antananarivo and to look back at the great memories you have made.
