Day 3: Santiago to Atacama | Moon Valley
In the morning, a private transfer takes you to Santiago Airport for your flight north to Calama, the gateway to the Atacama Desert. Upon arrival, your guide and driver will escort you on a scenic journey to San Pedro de Atacama, where vast salt flats, jagged rock formations, and distant volcanoes create a surreal landscape. In the afternoon, set out on a private excursion to Moon Valley, beginning at the Great Dune, where panoramic views reveal the desert’s sculpted beauty. Explore the striking Tres Marías rock formations and walk through the Amphitheatre, a landscape shaped by time and erosion. As the day winds down, reach the Mirador de Cari (Piedra del Coyote), one of Atacama’s most breathtaking viewpoints. Day 4: El Tatio Geysers & Atacama Salt Flats
After breakfast at the hotel, your day starts with a drive towards the town of Toconao, passing through the Tamarugos forest, a surprising oasis of green in the midst of the desert. On arrival, visit the Bell Tower of San Lucas, a historic 18th-century landmark, and explore the ancient irrigation canals that still support the town’s orchards today. Next, head to Chaxa Lagoon, located within the Atacama Salt Flat, where you’ll have the chance to spot flamingos and other bird species from designated observation points. Conclude the tour with a sunset view over the Andes, before returning to your hotel for the evening.

Day 5: Atacama: Stargazing Experience
The Atacama Desert offers some of the clearest night skies in the world, making it an ideal location for stargazing. In this private experience, you’ll head to a small observatory where you can observe stars, planets, and constellations with the help of high-quality telescopes (16”). Over the course of the 2-hour session, you’ll explore the night sky both by the naked eye and through the telescope, learning about the region’s significance to both modern astronomy and ancient Andean cultures. You’ll have the chance to see the Milky Way, the constellations, the rotation of the sky, and, through technical observation, various nebulae and star clusters.

Day 6: Atacama – Santiago de Chile
Today’s adventure takes you to the Domeyko Mountain Range, where you’ll visit Hierbas Buenas, an archaeological site known for its petroglyphs—ancient rock engravings left by the Atacameños as they travelled with their camelids. Afterward, continue to Rainbow Valley, renowned for its striking mineral diversity and vibrant colours. A short walk through the valley will offer insights into the minerals from extinct volcanoes and the unique geological formations of the area, providing excellent opportunities for photography. After the visit, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Santiago. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted & transferred to your hotel.

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Santiago Airport for your departure flight to Balmaceda Airport.
Upon arrival at Balmaceda Airport, you will pick up your rental SUV (4×4) and continue your journey, driving towards El Condor in Puerto Tranquilo. The drive covers approximately 179 km, which will take about 3 hours. Enjoy the flexibility of driving yourself as you proceed with your itinerary.

After your stay at Tierra Chiloé Hotel, you’ll be picked up for a shared transfer to Puerto Montt Airport, departing at either 10:00 AM or 3:00 PM, with a 3.5-hour journey. Upon arrival at Puerto Montt, a private driver will take you to Punta Canelo to board the 4:00 PM ferry to Puerto Maldonado. Once in Puerto Maldonado, you’ll be greeted by staff from Mítico Puelo Lodge, who will transfer you by boat to the lodge, with the meeting time at 4:45 PM.

Day 19: Torres del Paine National Park
Today is yours to enjoy at your leisure. You can choose from a variety of activities, including full-day options like Viewpoints and Waterfalls which visits some of the most beautiful spots in the Natonal Park with astonishing views of the serrated Torres del Paine mountains, the hike to the Torres Base, where glaciers drop past huge stone towers to an aquamarine lake, the walk to Pingo Waterfall. There are also half-day activities, including a boat ride to a the Gray Glacier, a hike to the top of an escarpment with breath-taking views and near guarantees of seeing condors and huge hers of guanaco and safari walks in search of pumas. Torres del Paine is perhaps the best place in the world to see them.

Day 21: Punta Arenas > Crucero
At the appropriate time, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred privately to the Punta Arenas Cruise Port, just in time for check-in to your private cabin (with a huge wall to ceiling glass window) in the lovely Australis cruise ship.
Check-in for the cruise will take place between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM at Muelle Prat. Embarkation will begin at 6:00 PM, followed by a welcome toast and introductions to the Captain and crew. The ship will then set sail, heading south through the famous Magellan Straits and the Beagle Channel, towering mountains all around, albatrosses floating over the waves, for your exploration of Patagonia and the fjords of Tierra del Fuego.

Day 22: Cruise Day 2
Today, the ship will arrive near the Marinelli Glacier at Ainsworth Bay, which drops dramatically through a gorge covered in low Patagonian forests. You will see the boulders and fragmented blue ice at the glaciers base, the rushing river that disgorges into a wild bay, followed by a hike through the beautiful sub-Antarctic Magellanic forests, which drip with mosses and are covered in rare lichens. The air is spectrally clear and still and the trees elfin in and twisted.. The excursion will continue with a visit to Tuckers Islets, where you’ll see. Huge colonies of Magellanic penguins and Zodiac cormorants.

Today, the ship will sail along the northwest arm of the Beagle Channel, entering the dramatic Pia Fjord. Once there, you will disembark and head to the viewpoint to take in stunning views of the Pia Glacier, with its main peak extending from the craggy grey and snow spittled Darwin mountain range to the sea. After this unforgettable experience, the ship will continue navigating through the breath-taking Glacier Alley, where the ship is surrounded by towering Tierra del Fuego glaciers.

Day 24: Cruise Day 4
Today you will arrive at Cape Horn National Park, where, weather permitting, you disembark to explore the southernmost Continental point outside Antarctica. It’s an astonishing spot – a tiny island battered by raging waves, with thousands of seabirds soaring all around and towering rocks and tundra. In the afternoon, you will visit Wulaia Bay, a historic site once home to one of the largest Indigenous Yagan villages in Tierra del Fuego, witnessed by Darwin in his accounts written-up in the Voyage of the Beagle. Hike through the Magellanic forest to a viewpoint, passing through a landscape of elfin trees, sedges, delicate flowers and ferns, most of them unique to these landscapes.

Day 25: Cruise Day 5 > Ushuaia
Arriving in Ushuaia at 8:30 AM, a tiny town at the end of the Earth, spread at the feet of huge snow-covered mountains and surrounded by forests. You’ll be transferred to your hotel for an early check in and time at leisure to wander around the little town. In the afternoon you will visit Argentinean Tierra del Fuego – the lovely forests and lakes in the National Park, which drop to a rocky shore with panoramic views of the wave-caped Beagle Channel. You will take a ride on the southernmost railway in the world and stop at the End of the World Train station and see the wave-capped Bahía Ensenada Bay and the glacial Lake Acigami.

Day 26: Ushuaia > Buenos Aires
In the morning, you’ll be transferred from your hotel to Ushuaia Airport for your flight. Upon arrival at Aeroparque Airport (AEP) in Buenos Aires, a private transfer will take you to your hotel. Later, you will enjoy a Tango Dinner Show at La Ventana Tango in the historic San Telmo neighbourhood. This is one of Buenos Aires’s best tango venues, with a terrific dance show featuring two orchestras, folk music, dancers, and singers, paired with an exquisite three-course dinner and Argentine wines. Dinner is served at 8:00 PM, with the show starting at 10:00 PM. Afterward, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel.
