Hotel Porto Jofre – Pantanal

This was the phrase of the first fisherman who stayed with us. At that time, only my grandparents and some of their children lived there. In fact, there was no hotel, but rather a farm with humble and simple farmers. In just a few days, this fisherman caught a huge amount of fish.

Upon returning to his hometown, the fisherman, who is now a great friend and companion, began to tell of his adventure and the beauty of the Pantanal in the Porto Jofre region. Soon other fishermen began to appear. Thus began the story of much dedication and work of the HOTEL PORTO JOFRE PANTANAL NORTE.

The HOTEL PORTO JOFRE PANTANAL NORTE has a first-world structure, providing its guests with comfort and satisfaction during their fishing and leisure hours. It is the only hotel in Brazil to work exclusively with MARAJÓ 19 speedboats with 115 HP engines, in addition to several models and sizes of speedboats for observation tours piloted by experienced guides from the region.

Since 1984, the hotel has been preserving and respecting the Pantanal, in Porto Jofre, a region now well-known for being home to a large concentration of jaguars. The hotel also works with Ecological Tourism, especially tours to observe jaguars and other species of mammals, as well as countless birds.

Porto Jofre, a word originated due to the Transpantaneira Highway starting in Poconé and ending in the Cuiabá River. This place became a PORT for the entry and exit of cattle and various products such as food and agricultural inputs, for various farms up and down this place.

On the right side of the Transpantaneira is the JOFRE Farm, which is why the place became known as PORTO JOFRE.
