Eden Lodge is located on Baobab Beach only half an hour from Nosy Be island by boat.

Nested in a protected nature reserve, the amazing view while arriving at the first 100% solar powered hotel in the world is breathtaking. A pure white sand beach, bordered by lush virgin forest and dotted with hundreds years old baobab trees are waiting to welcome you. Eden Lodge’s grounds extend over more than 8 hectares and offer protected exceptional biodiversity, where forest and ocean join.

The 8 ecolodges of Eden Lodge are mid-way between a traditional construction and a luxury tent and they blend in perfectly with the environment. Each one offers spacious accommodation where you can relax in complete privacy, in a natural park, directly on the beach. The lodges use local materials, such as Anjanojano stone, the trunks of fallen trees and coconut or ravinala (Traveller’s palm) leaves.
The innovative architecture of these beachfront lodges allows air to circulate freely, thanks to a ravinala roof and a tented canopy with large openings protected by mosquito nets. A Dyson fan will provide you fresh air on demand, rather than air conditioning.
A spectacular bathroom opens out onto a terrace where you can enjoy a massage and other beauty treatments (each lodge is equipped with a massage table in the privacy of the garden).
The bedroom also has its own private balcony, an ideal spot to relax and enjoy the ocean-view.
Eden Lodge conjures up the spirit and atmosphere of a tented camp with the protection and comfort of a permanent lodge, entirely powered with solar energy.
The lodges are equipped with every comfort, each with a king size rosewood bed, enveloped by a full, beautifully embroidered mosquito net, a work area with an ocean-view, a safe and minibar.

Enjoy your cocktails and meals in a magnificent lodge designed for relaxation. The creative cuisine is inspired by spicy flavours of Madagascar and by the French. The menu is composed exclusively of fresh products such as seafood brought daily to the lodge by the nearby fishermen, plus the Malagasy specialities like zebu fillet and a wide selection of exotic fruits.

At any moment of your stay, enjoy a traditional Madagascan massage using essential oil, or a traditional care, in the comfort of your lodge on your personal table massage. You can also try environmentally friendly water sports such as Hobbiecat, sea kayaks, paddle, snorkelling, or windsurfing along with many more activities. Certain seasons you can share the magic of nesting or hatching of sea turtles just in front of your lodge, or being regaled by the sight of dolphins, and even migrating whales, swimming just a stone’s throw from the shore.
