Day 1: Departure & Arrival in Muscat

Today you will fly from your chosen airport to Muscat, Oman.

Upon arrival at Muscat International Airport, you will be greeted by your Earth Trip representative. They will assist with your transfer to the hotel in Muscat. Once you arrive at your hotel, check-in will be available from 15:00 hrs onwards. Enjoy your first day settling into the vibrant capital of Oman.

Day 2: Muscat – Nizwa – Jabal Akhdar

After breakfast, set off for a day of exploration starting with a visit to Nizwa. This city is known for its historical fort and traditional souks, offering a glimpse into Oman’s cultural heritage. Later, travel to Jabal Akhdar, also known as the “Green Mountain,” where you’ll enjoy stunning panoramic views of terraced landscapes and rugged mountains. This day promises an enriching experience of Oman’s natural beauty and history.

Day 3: Jabal Akhdar – Village Walk

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a guided 2-village walk with an English-speaking local guide from the village. The walk, which lasts approximately one hour, will begin at Diana’s Point, named after Princess Diana’s visit to Oman in 1986. From here, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of three villages nestled in the mountains. Your first stop is Al Aqur, a charming village with houses over 200 years old, dating back to the 17th century. Next, you’ll visit Al Ain, where you’ll witness the traditional Falaj irrigation system, and pass by the “Rose Garden,” which is at its peak during the end of March to early April. After exploring these villages, you’ll be taken to a local Omani house to enjoy an authentic Omani lunch, which is included in your itinerary.

Return to the hotel after the walk, and spend the afternoon at leisure, enjoying the hotel amenities and activities.

Day 4: Jabal Akhdar (Leisure)

Enjoy a full day at leisure after breakfast at the hotel. This day offers you the opportunity to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Jabal Akhdar. You can take advantage of the hotel’s amenities or simply unwind in the beautiful natural setting.

Day 5: Jabal Akhdar – Wadi Bani Khalid – Wahiba Sands (The Desert)

After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll begin your journey to Wadi Bani Khalid, a beautiful oasis in eastern Oman, renowned for its clear turquoise pools, dramatic rock formations, and lush date palms. The travel duration to Wadi Bani Khalid is approximately 3 hours and 18 minutes. Spend around 2 hours exploring the oasis, where you can swim in the refreshing pools, hike through scenic trails, and discover hidden caves, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure.

After visiting the wadi, continue your journey to Wahiba Sands, the iconic desert landscape of Oman. Once there, enjoy an unforgettable sunset with high tea on top of the dunes, set up in an exclusive and serene atmosphere.

Day 6: Wahiba Sands – Sur – Wadi Shab – Bimmah Sinkhole – Muscat

After breakfast at the camp, you’ll begin your journey back to Muscat, with several exciting stops along the way.

First, visit the Sur Dhow factory, where you’ll learn about the traditional art of dhow building. The visit lasts approximately one hour.

Next, continue to Wadi Tiwi for a 2-hour exploration. Known for its emerald-green pools, palm groves, and rugged canyon views, Wadi Tiwi is a picturesque spot for hiking and photography.

Afterward, stop for a photo opportunity at Wadi Shab, famous for its stunning turquoise waters, before visiting the Bimmah Sinkhole, a natural wonder with crystal-clear water perfect for a quick stop. Both of these sites are brief visits, with a duration of around 20 minutes each.

Day 7: Muscat Ciy Tour

After breakfast at the hotel, your English-speaking driver guide will meet you at 08:30 am to begin a half-day Muscat city tour. You’ll start with a visit to the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, followed by a brief stop at the Muttrah Fish Market. Next, explore the vibrant Muttrah Souq for an hour, then take a photo break at the Al Alam Palace. Continue with a visit to the Bait Al Zubair Museum to learn about Omani culture and history, and end the tour with a photo stop at the Jalali and Mirani forts, iconic landmarks of the city.

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a relaxing morning before your journey home. Your driver will pick you up for a complimentary transfer to Muscat International Airport, ensuring you arrive about three hours before your scheduled departure.
