Location
Located in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve of Baa Atoll, northwest of Male’ International airport, Reethi Beach is on the beautiful and lush Fonimagoodhoo Island, surrounded by a beautiful lagoon and white, sandy beach. The island is just 600 metres by 200 metres and is reached by a scenic 35 minutes (124 km) seaplane flight from Malé International Airport followed by a short speedboat ride to Reethi Beach.
“Reethi” = Beautiful
“Reethi” in the local language means beautiful. Only 15% of the land area is built upon and the resort is nestled amidst lush vegetation shaded by graceful palm trees and surrounded by a white sandy beach and a lagoon of crystal clear water, with a beautiful house reef just 30 metres to 100 metres from shore. Reethi Beach are committed to the maintenance of a sustainable, eco-friendly environment, continually aiming to improve conservation policies, and it is their ambition to provide guests with memorable experiences and a desire to return again, and again. Reethi Beach is proud to be one of the most environmentally friendly islands in the Maldives. The energy consumption per client is a quarter of the industry average.
Accommodation
These comfortable rooms are designed to complement the beauty of the island. The 40 detached or semi-detached Reethi Villas (38 metres squared) are located on the west and east side of the island, set amid tropical vegetation and just a few steps from the beautiful beach. Each has a partial open-air bathroom with shower, terrace and deck chairs.
