Day 1: Departure from your  to Cairo

Day 2: Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum

After breakfast, embark on a journey to witness two of the world’s most iconic landmarks—the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx—built during the 4th Dynasty (2589–2503 BC). These awe-inspiring structures have stood for over 4,500 years, and for an additional fee, you may have the opportunity to enter the Great Pyramid of Khufu.

 

Next, continue your tour with a visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), an extraordinary cultural institution that offers more than just a collection of ancient artifacts. Day 3: Cairo

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before your guide picks you up for a day of exploration. Your tour begins with a visit to the Citadel and the magnificent Mohamed Ali Mosque, an architectural masterpiece offering panoramic views of Cairo.

Next, journey to Coptic Cairo, home to some of the world’s oldest Christian churches and a place steeped in biblical history. Walk in the footsteps of Mary and Joseph as you visit the Hanging Church (El Muallaqa), dedicated to the Virgin Mary and believed to have been built at the end of the 3rd century. Nearby, see the Greek Church of St. George, built along the outer wall.

Day 4: Cairo to Aswan (by flight)

After breakfast, a representative will meet you and transfer you to Cairo Airport for your flight to Aswan.

Begin your full-day tour with a visit to the High Dam, one of Egypt’s most significant engineering achievements of the last century. Built as a symbol of the 1952 Revolution, the dam provides water and electricity while protecting the country from the dangers of destructive flooding. Next, explore the breath-taking Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Located on the picturesque island of Philae, this sacred site was originally known by the ancient Egyptians as P-aaleq, meaning both “end” and “creation.” The temple complex, primarily built during the Roman period, took nearly 800 years to complete. In addition to serving as a place of worship, the island was home to skilled stonemasons, carpenters, and craftsmen who continuously worked on its expansion.

Day 5: Aswan – Abu Simbel

Day 7: Nile River Cruise

Breakfast on board before beginning your exploration of Kom Ombo Temple, a unique double temple dedicated to two deities. One side honors Sobek, the crocodile god of fertility and protector against evil, while the other is devoted to Haroeris (Horus the Elder). The temple’s remarkable symmetry along its main axis makes it an architectural wonder.

Return to the cruise for lunch on board as you sail towards Edfu, passing through the historic Esna Lock.

Upon arrival, visit the Temple of Edfu, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. It retains the traditional elements of New Kingdom temples while incorporating Greek influences, such as the Mamisi (“House of the Divine Birth”). The deeper you venture, the further back in time you’ll travel, with some ruins dating back over 3,000 years.

Your first stop is the legendary Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of the pharaohs of Thebes. After a brief visit to the Visitors Centre, explore the elaborately decorated tombs, each adorned with intricate hieroglyphics and vibrant wall paintings that tell stories of the afterlife. While guides are not permitted inside, your guide will provide detailed explanations before you enter. If you wish to visit the tomb of King Tutankhamun, an additional entry fee is required.
